A goldfish variant  known as  lion head. In the trade these fish also called "Oranda" named after the Chinese name for this fish, which in turn is a slang for Hollander (ollanda). The lion head is a breed of the common goldfish. It has the following appearance : a slightly curved spine, doubled and extended tail fins and a thickened head skin. The long double tail fins makes them slow swimmers so they have little defense against aggressive tank inhabitants or fast swimmers.
In terms of treatment, they like warmer circumstances than the common goldfish. In an outside pond  they will generally not survive the winter. At room temperatures they do mostly fine. Just like the common goldfish, they are omnivores, eating both animal and vegetable foods. They are not difficult companions provided some attention is paid to their living surroundings and they are given a qualitatively good and varied diet. Besides the red form, there are many different color forms in the trade.
